The cat is finally out of the bag and as a result I can finally share the final product with you. This project was made for Interweave’s Felt 2008 special issue due out on 9/9/2008. Check out the preview Its called the Striped Pyramid Tote and is described as: “Eight colors are knitted in stripes in this flirty purse.”

Woohooo! My design's photo made the preview page! How cool is that for a first time in a national magazine?
Here are some pictures of models that I made test knitting the pattern. As you can see, there is a lot of room for personal expression/pimping your bag:

Congratulations! I really love the purse with the stripes. Great design Jenn!
Thank you. I am so glad you liked the stripes. Each row in just 2 rows in StSt. I didn't have any particular order to the striping. My one rule was that I had to use all the colors ONCE without a repeat. To make sure I didn't repeat myself, I had 2 baskets: one full of the all of the yarn I collected for the project and the other basket to hold each color after being knit. I did this until every color has had its turn.
My kids like to pick out colors for me too.

Great design. Now I will have to get the magazine. So glad my blog sent over some customers. These stripes are so addictive. :)
Pipp,
Another masterpiece! (of course)
